With a manufacturing capacity that barely touches a hundred timepieces a year, a Greubel Forsey watch is exclusive indeed. It isn’t every day that I lay my hands on a watch that is worth more than a million dollars. It isn’t every day either that Stephen Forsey, one half of Greubel Forsey, amongst the most exciting watch labels founded this century, unravels the mysteries of what makes its watches command this price. In an industry where tradition stands the test of time, Greubel Forsey is a relatively new entrant in the extremely rarified world of exclusive timepieces. Stephen Forsey, co-founder and inventor, was in Delhi recently to, well, not launch, but display the latest watch as the label seeks to find more Indian collectors for its timepieces.
