MOST OF US think nothing of going to our garden shed, whether it's to get the lawn mower, to store some tins of paint, or sit · and read a few magazines away from the wife. But for Tipton man Jeremy Binlid, every visit is a 'walk on the wild side' because his 6 by 8 foot wooden outbuilding is haunted... by the ghost of Lou Reed.
The legendary Velvet Underground front• man's phantom took up residence in Binlid's shed last summer, and is now a regular spectral presence amongst the gardening tools.
But the 45-year-old bus driver says he has no intention of trying to evict the late proto-punk rock artist from his shed. "Live and let live is what I say," he told The Tipton Globe and Artichoke. "Even if they're dead." It was Mr Binlid's 8-year old daughter Molly who first became aware of the strange presence in the garden shed.
