The end is nigh for Psycho prequel Bates Motel. Returning this week for its fifth and final series, the drama is finally catching up with Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, as Norman’s behaviour grows more erratic following the death of his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga).
SETTING THE SCENE Freddie Highmore, who plays the twisted mother-dominated killer, reckons fans will enjoy seeing the series blend into the events of the chilling 1960 movie.
