NEW COMEDY

Sick Note

Thursday, Sky One HD, 10pm

He got his big break alongside best mate Simon Pegg in TV series Spaced, and the pair went on to make movies Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.

Now, despite his initial doubts about being an actor, former waiter Nick Frost is busier than ever, not least with season two of Sky One comedy Sick Note.

As the series returns with a double bill, Daniel (Rupert Grint) is still pretending to be ill – and he and Dr Glennis (Frost) are struggling to keep track of all their lies. Meanwhile, a tragedy at Daniel’s workplace – insurance company We Cover – brings Katerina West (Lindsay Lohan), the no-holds-barred daughter of boss Kenny, jetting in to save the business.

We sat down with Frost for an exclusive interview…

How is Dr glennis getting on as we rejoin the show? Glennis is still an awful oncologist, still making awful decisions, but he just wants to be loved.

You do physical comedy in Sick Note. is that something you still enjoy? You don’t need a degree to understand a fat man falling over! It’s fun and something people like.

Lindsay Lohan joins this series. What is she like? She was on set on time, knew her lines and was fun to work with. Whatever she’s been through is none of my business – we’ve all been through stuff, but it’s made public by the job we do.
