From giving a satirical approach towards some trending topics on social media, Abhilash Thapliyal aka Muffler Man to being featured in films like Dil Junglee and to being ‘SK Sir’ of TVF original’s show ‘Aspirants’, he has conquered it all.

He has showcased his talent in Tv shows such as Comedy Circus, Entertainment Ki Raat and Kapil Sharma’s show. Also, during the pandemic lockdown, he successfully created numerous characters which spoke about relevant issues with a comic twist. His characters like JD Saab, Muffler Man and Journalist have become an instant hit and since then there is no looking back.

OUR VERY OWN ABHILASH THAPLIYAL AKA MUFFLER MAN SITS IN A CANDID CONVERSATION WITH iCRAZE TEAM. From being a radio jockey to becoming a social media sensation to trying your hands in acting and comedy--how do you look back at your journey so far?

It’s humbling. Also, I feel grateful and fortunate enough that every platform that I have tried my hands on be it radio, OTT, and films, the audience have accepted my craft and the person I am. So, the journey has been amazing and I believe when you say no regrets, that says it all and it defines my journey.

You have worked on both –films and OTT. Which one do you find your comfort space and why?

I am not a trained actor. I am still trying to figure out my comfort zone. When I am performing or playing a character I do not think about the platform that I am performing for. I just play that character with the nuances and subtleties. So, I primarily focus on the character and the story. As far as the comfort zone is concerned, I am still trying to find out.

Your inspiration behind your satirical videos. Arvind Kejriwal. Well, Muffler Man was my first satirical video and that’s how creating satirical videos started. He is the one who inspired me to do the social commentary that I keep doing on my social media platforms.
