Jonbon emulates some legendary chasers as a dual Tingle Creek victor, and trainer Dan Skelton scores a seasonal century

JOCKEY Nico de Boinville had to deploy Jonbon's four-wheel drive in attritional conditions, but the dynamic two-miler proved once again why he's one of the best in the business, winning the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase for the second successive year.

Back-to-back victories in the Grade One contest elevated JP McManus's eight-year-old to the ranks of dual victors Moscow Flyer and Master Minded. But he became the first since the mighty Kauto Star in 2005 and 2006 to retain the crown. De Boinville described the feat as "quite something".

"He made up lengths over his fences and he is really maturing," he said.
