PHOTOJOURNALISM – WHEN STORYTELLING MEETS REALITY
Do you know who the real heroes are? Real heroes are the ones out on the battlefield of reality, capturing every moment and showing the stark naked truth to the entire world. They are the ones who wield the power to shape our perspectives with the mere click of a camera. They are the ones who often at times risk their lives to show us the truth that lies hidden in the very fabric of the society. They are photojournalists.
RIGHT TIME, WRONG LENS
Have you ever had an almost-perfect snapshot in front of you only to realise you were using the wrong lens? Or maybe since it’s more convenient, you just bring one lens with you? Or pushing yourself to the edge. We’ve all heard that the best lens for a portrait is 85mm, 50mm, that the best lens for a landscape is a wide angle between 14mm to 24mm and that the best lens for getting in close is a macro? So, what if we alter things up and use a lens that isn’t often associated with that type of photography and replace it with another? Will we set a goal for ourselves or do something unusual?
Surreal Photography
Surrealism is an avant-garde movement that started around the 1920s that explores the creative part of the mind by going beyond realism in art field. How Can A Single Lens Help You Improve Your Photography?
In this case we all are culprits of G.A.S. (Gear addiction syndrome). We all save money for months or years in greed of buying new camera, lens and other equipment; hoping that it will help us improve our photography skills in some way. Although each new piece of gear increases more options to explore, we just end up getting bored of technicalities and making choices. Well, it’s going to be tough to think about going with one lens, but it’s going to be very challenging and fun.
