Hailing from Jamshedpur-the city famously dubbed the birthplace of India's industrial revolution-Rajeev's journey is one of transformation, from the land of iron and steel to the sun-drenched shores of Goa. Since landing in Goa in 2000, he has risen steadily to take on roles of significant responsibility, steering the operations of multiple luxury resorts across Goa. His story is one of resilience, purpose, and innovation.
Rajeev's journey began in 2000 when he graduated with a BBA in Hotel Management from Rourkela, Orissa. Eager to make his mark in the hospitality industry, he followed his father's suggestion to pursue hotel management. Soon, Rajeev realized this was more than a job-it was his calling. "My father advised me to join a hotel management course, and looking back, I feel grateful for that. The hospitality industry has given me a career that I deeply cherish. There's nothing else that would have made me happier," he shares.
After his studies, he dove into the industry, beginning as a trainee supervisor at Majorda Beach Resort, South Goa. This was just the beginning of an expansive career path, which took him across India and even abroad. Rajeev continued to grow in his expertise, exploring new properties to expand his knowledge and experience. He would ultimately take on roles with escalating responsibilities, leading him to his current prestigious position with Fern Hotels and Resorts. Today, Rajeev serves as the Area General Manager, overseeing multiple properties across Goa.
