WAR VET TAKES ON 145 MILES CHALLENGEAN

A WAR hero told he would never walk again after being shot in Afghanistan is trekking from Carlisle to Blairgowrie for veterans.

Mark Harding, 47, was shot in the neck by a Taliban sniper in 2010 and paralysed.

Through courage, discipline and teamwork, he is now able to walk with the use of crutches.

This year, he is Ambassador for the Army Benevolent Fund’s Cateran Yomp which takes place every year across rugged Perthshire terrain.
