திருவாரூரில் பிறந்தால் முக்தி, காசியில் இறந்தால் முக்தி. ஆனால், நினைத்தாலே முக்தி தரும் தலம் திருவண்ணாமலை! தமிழ்த் திருநாட்டில் உள்ள இந்தத் தலத்தில் எண்ணற்ற மகான்கள் அவதரித்து மக்களை வழி நடத்தியுள்ளனர். பூமியின் இதயமாக விளங்கி வரும் திருவண்ணாமலை திருத்தலம் அருணையம்பதி, சோணாசலம், அருணாசலம் என்றெல்லாம் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஸ்ரீவித்தை அல்லது தசமஹா வித்தை என்பது, ஸ்ரீவித்தை, ஸ்ரீபுரம், ஸ்ரீசக்கரம், பிரம்ம வித்யா என்ற பல்வேறு பாகங்களாக இறைவனால் அருளப்பட்டது. ஸ்ரீவித்தையை கற்கவேண்டுமென்றால் தசமஹா வித்தையை கற்க வேண்டும். தசமஹா வித்தை என்பதற்கு, ‘பத்து பெரிய மந்திரங்கள்' என்று பொருள்.
