Land Titling act has been one of the most crucial factors in tipping the scales during the elections of 2024 in Andhra Pradesh, India.

It has become one of the decisive factors against the former ruling party of AP, YSR Congress Party. So, what is it? Why did it matter so much that it tipped the scales of elections?

In India, Land is a crucial asset everyone values and it is even passed through generations as hereditary wealth. So, In addition to the actual value of the land, it also mostly holds sentimental value for many people. In most of the rural areas, their land is a part of their identity and they uphold it's ownership with pride and honour. Such is the importance of land and ownership in India.
