COVID-19 Reinfections: What Do They Mean?
As many states begin to fully reopen after COVID-19 mandates, doctors are reporting the documented cases of COVID-19 reinfection. According to Medscape, a 25-year-old man in Nevada and a 42-year-old man in Virginia both experienced second bouts of the virus two months after testing positive the first time. A third, unconfirmed case was reported in Washington, though it hasn’t been thoroughly reviewed yet. This isn’t an unprecedented occurrence. Reinfections have been reported in other countries as well, including China, Belgium, India, Ecuador and the Netherlands.
