Millet items on Guj-Mum Vande Bharat’s menu
New Delhi: The new Vande Bharat train, which will start commercial operation between Gandhinagar and Mumbai Central from Sunday, will offer a variety of food items, including low-calorie cuisine made from millets — ragi, bhagar, cereals, oats and muesli. The railway ministry said the items have been included in the menu considering the high likelihood of the patronage of business and corporate passengers for this train.

New Delhi: Barely two days before the proposed timeline for implementation of mandatory six airbags in all cars, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said the new norm will be effective from October 2023, considering “global supply chain constrains” and feedback from the industry. Earlier, the ministry had proposed to implement the rule from October 1 this year.
