SCOTLAND Yard is probing whether corrupt officers helped Mohamed AI Fayed evade justice over the Harrods sex abuse scandal.

The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards launched the investigation last month, the Sunday Times reported.

DPS officers, who have been compared to the fictional AC-12 in TV hit Line of Duty, are probing if Met officers helped Fayed cover his tracks.

They have questioned a former high-ranking security official at Harrods about the billionaire's alleged past links to senior Met officers.
