Heirloom produce and sustainable growing practices define Minnesota’s Webster Farm Organic.

FOR THOSE EATERS who shop for their values as well as their vegetables, Webster Farm Organic, in Benton County, MN, offers the perfect balance of ethics and heirloom produce. “We are deeply committed to sustainability, quality, variety, and accessibility of food,” says owner Nett Hart. “We believe that fair allocation of resources begins with community farms. Foods should be grown traditionally, and a community should know where its food comes from and how it’s harvested.” The 80-acre farm uses rainwater-collection systems and passive solar energy for heat in its greenhouses. Production is completely vegan, right down to the fertilizers, and Hart uses herbal teas and plant tinctures for pest control.
