In this Omnichannel age, a ‘unified retail operating system’ is indispensable to own customers across channels. The topic was discussed in detail at the 20th edition of the India Fashion Forum, held in December at Hotel Conrad, Bengaluru.

The dynamics of retail are shifting at a rapid pace today. The modern consumer shops across multiple channels and it is indispensable for brands and retails to offer lifetime value across all these channels. Hence, a unified retail and wholesale operating system has become the top priority for brands and retailers to own consumers across all touchpoints. “When we say Retail Operating System, we do not necessarily mean only technology; in fact, it encompasses the entire gamut of people, operations and technology that can be buttressed to own our consumers across channels,” stated Mukul Bafana, kickstarting the discussion.
