Mumbai: The state added 11,877 Covid-19 cases on Sunday, a jump of 29% from the previous day (9,170). The city logged 7,792 infections, an increase of 26% over the 6,186 cases on Saturday. Cases have been surging every day for about two weeks, except last Monday—mainly due to week end phenomenon of fewer testing on Sundays.
