What is a perfect picture of a retail journey? What do customers see and what do brands aspire for? A perfect customer journey is when a brand completely understands the shopper and offers everything s/he desires on all channels of sale – offline or online. Every retailer works on providing a seamless customer journey. However, the question remains – what are the factors which determine the success of this journey in a more organised and thriving manner? Which are the technologies that are changing the retail industry globally?
These questions were examined in detail in a presentation by Praveen Mellacheruvu, Business Group Lead, Business Apps, Microsoft, at the Fashion Techway at the 20th edition of the India Fashion Forum held recently in Bengaluru. “The journey is long and has been very exciting. Throughout this journey, we have ensured that there is adequate interaction – online and offline – that consumers spend enough time at the store and finally we help make conversions at every step. With technologies such as conventional commerce, IoT, RPA and Blockchain, available to us, the list is endless. We have been aspiring for such a journey and here are some important milestones,” said Mellacheruvu.
