Just a few days ago I met someone at a party who happens to be the serious kind. I want something serious too but I don’t want to give up my freedom to check out cute guys and hook up with, for someone so soon. I still want to experiment and experience. A serious relationship is a serious responsibility and I don’t feel like I’m ready to give up my single ways to be with someone. In a situation like this if your partner is also up for it you can experiment with an open relationship.
Okay wait, let me start from the scratch.
What is an open relationship?
For those of you who do not understand the concept, an open relationship in simple words is a relationship where both the partners mutually agree upon having sexual relationship other people.
We Indians are conditioned a certain way and in a setting that sleeping with someone other than your partner and accepting and allowing your partner to have sex with someone also feels so wrong. Just the thought of it feels so very wrong!
We’ve been born and brought up in a culture where sex itself is a taboo so an open relationship is like a farfetched thought.
