MUM Sammantha Young lost her husband to the Euros, but won £1million on the lottery with a ticket she bought to relieve the boredom while he was engrossed in a match.

And the 33-year-old at first thought she had only scooped £1,000.

“Football widow” Sammantha decided to play a lotto game while husband Paul, 39, was watching Italy’s quarter-final victory over Belgium.

She said: “I’ve been so proud to support the England team and cheered them all the way to the final.
