ASSEMBLE UNITS

Measurements include ¼" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.

Press seams in directions indicated by arrows on diagrams. If no direction is specified, press seam toward darker fabric.

1. Use a pencil to mark a diagonal line on wrong side of each white print 2⅞" square.

2. Layer a marked white print square atop a bright print 27/8" square. Sew together with two seams, stitching 1/4" on each side of marked line (Diagram 1). Cut apart on marked line. Press open to make two triangle-squares. Each triangle-square should be 2¹//2" square including seam allowances. Repeat to make 558 triangle-squares total.

3. Referring to Diagram 2, lay out 12 triangle-squares and three assorted bright print triangles in three rows. Sew together pieces in rows. Join rows to make Unit A. Repeat to make three A units total.

4. Lay out 27 triangle-squares in three rows (Diagram 3). Sew together pieces in rows. Join rows to make Unit B. The unit should be 6½x18½" including seam allowances. Repeat to make nine B units total.

5. Reversing pressing direction for each row, repeat Step 4 to make nine C units (Diagram 4).

6. Referring to Diagram 5, lay out three assorted white print triangles and 12 triangle-squares in three rows. Sew together pieces in rows. Join rows to make Unit D. Repeat to make three D units total.
