MORE than 2,000 ancient NHS buildings put patients at risk with problems from sewage leaks to broken lifts.
Analysis of NHS data by the Lib Dems found at least one in four buildings at 34 English trusts are over 75 years old.
Sewage leaking from sinks on to wards was among issues in older buildings, as well as lifts failing multiple times a day.
One hospital is understood to use its intensive care unit for storage as it's unsafe for patients.

More than 18,000 pest problems were reported over the past three years.
There were rats on maternity wards, wasps nests in imaging areas, maggots in a mortuary and ants "coming through the ceiling". Lib Dem Daisy Cooper called it a "national scandal".
She said: "Patients and staff deserve the dignity of safe, modern and clean hospitals."
The Department of Health and Social Care replied: "We're investing record sums to upgrade NHS buildings."&nbsp;
