Cops to probe how Matt Perry got killer drug

MATTHEW Perry's death is being investigated by police, seven months after he was found dead.

The Friends star died last October from "acute effects of ketamine", medical officials said at the time.

Now police in LA have opened a probe into how the actor, 54, got the anaesthetic found in his system.

Drowning was also listed as a contributing factor in Perry's death, which was ruled an accident.

Police are working with the US Drug Enforcement Administration and US Postal Inspection Service on an inquiry into the death, LAPD Captain Scot Williams said.

Perry was found face down in the hot tub at his LA home on October 28, and declared dead at the scene.

In December, a coroner said the amount of ketamine in his blood was in the range used for general anaesthesia in surgery.
