When I first left school I worked a series of casual and short-term jobs before landing a position as a full-time bank teller.
Back then, there wasn't a thought in my mind about planning for my retirement.
Come payday, my focus was paying my rent and buying as many concert tickets as I could with the money I had left over.
Jump forward almost 30 years, suddenly retirement doesn't seem that far away.
And, as much fun as screaming along with Jon Bon Jovi singing 'Livin' on a Prayer' was, I can't help but wish I'd also been squirrelling away a few dollars for my future.
