Traffic of major ports down 16.56% till August
The 12 major Indian ports handled 245 mt of total traffic in April-August, lower by 16.56% from 294 mt recorded in the corresponding period of last year, according to data released by IPA.

May crude production up 78% on month
May crude steel production was at 5.767 mt, down 39.1% on year and was up 77.8% over April. With 78% share, private sector (7.024 mt, down by 53.3%) led crude steel production compared to the 22% contributed by PSUs.
