The march issue of Kairos welcomes the readers to another Fruitful Lenten season through thought-provoking cover stories and inspiring testimonies. Sasi Emmanuel illustrates how lives considered worthless by the world are later glorified as the most inspirational ones, and points out that unanswered prayers are in fact pathways to impending joy.
Fr. Roy Palatti shares how spirituality becomes a celebration when we start enjoying life in Christ. Elseena Joseph presents an overview of the involvement of Jesus Youth during the 34th World Youth Day held at Panama. Bedwin Titus,coordinator of Vox Christi band, shares his wondrous experience of representing the Jesus Youth movement at a lunch meeting with the Holy Father, Pope Francis. The issue contains heart warming testimonies of Alphons Joseph and Jibson Bivera on how God is guiding their respective families and the music ministry they are part of. My Story shared by Nikhil John (Border Security Force Constable), Maria Therese and Rinu Sara Kuriakose are beautiful examples of God’s immense love and care towards each of His children.
Family Cafe provides some guidelines for a joyful family life. In the Teen segment, Rainbow, Fr. James Mundolackal writes about new generation trends that seem to shape the lives of the present teenagers and children. Sharlet Ann Toms writes about the mission experiences of Babu Paul and his family in Chattisgarh. The issue includes a Q & A section with Geo P. George, and also contains regular segments such as Familia, Youth Class by Joshy George, Varthavicharam by Sunny Kokkapillil, Cine Talkies by Joseph Anthraper and Book Shelf by Anitha Babu which inspire thought and reflection. The movement also commemorates Robin Sebastian and Feby Thomas, who left for Heavenly Abode.
Kairos Description:
Kairos is purely a youth initiative for the youth. It is being published from 1977 onwards. It is a group of young people from Calicut who initiated it. From 1998 onwards, it is being published under the sponsorship of Kerala Jesus Youth. Personal Experiences of Youth, Lifestyle Guides, Discussions, Opinions, Church News, Responses to Current Events, Jesus Youth News, Youth-centric Insights and much more – all this put together in a light and simple manner that can be instantly recognized as the ‘Kairos style’. It is the only youth and teenage communication in Malayalam with a focus on the Church. Kairos helps thousands of youth form relevant responses and lifestyles in today’s world based on the Church’s teachings through simple sharing of spiritual experiences by young people. Brings together young people endeavoring to live a life of faith in Jesus.
