கந்த சஷ்டி விரதம் தொடங்கிய திருக்கோயில்!

முருகப்பெருமானை வழிபடும் விரதங்களில் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது கந்த சஷ்டி விரதம். இதை முதன்முதலில் பாம்பன் சுவாமிகள் தொடங்கிய தலம், பூலோக கயிலாயமாக விளங்கும் தில்லை ஸ்ரீ நடராஜர் ஆலயத்துக்குக் கிழக்கே எழில் கொஞ்சும் கிராமமான பின்னத்தூர் ஆகும்.

ஸ்ரீவித்தை அல்லது தசமஹா வித்தை என்பது, ஸ்ரீவித்தை, ஸ்ரீபுரம், ஸ்ரீசக்கரம், பிரம்ம வித்யா என்ற பல்வேறு பாகங்களாக இறைவனால் அருளப்பட்டது. ஸ்ரீவித்தையை கற்கவேண்டுமென்றால் தசமஹா வித்தையை கற்க வேண்டும். தசமஹா வித்தை என்பதற்கு, ‘பத்து பெரிய மந்திரங்கள்' என்று பொருள்.
