संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम की फूड वेस्ट इंडेक्स 2024 रिपोर्ट के अनुसार वर्ष 2022 में पूरी दुनिया में 1.05 अरब टन भोजन बर्बाद हो गया है। इस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार करीब 20 प्रतिशत भोजन कूड़े में फैंक दिया जाता है।
