The Practice Of Sanatan Dharma
The arrival of saintly souls in this mundane world is truly a divine blessing. Their birth seems ordinary. But over their lifetime, they achieve miraculous feats and, as their purpose in this world is fulfill led, they depart. Paramhamsa Madhavadasji was one of them. He shouldered the responsibility of creating awareness amongst the Sadhus, a Herculean task! Shri Yogendraji and Dr. Jayadeva were no different. From the Archives of Yoga and Total Health - A Symbol of Strength
Founder, Shri Yogendraji, to me, personally, shall remain a symbol of strength. I vividly remember my first glimpse of him, almost eight years ago. It was a winter morning, fresh, cool, and crisp, with a nip in the air, as I entered the portal of The Yoga Institute. Just ahead of me, a person with folded hands was saying ‘Namaste’, to someone standing at the window above the office. Glancing up, I saw a figure with a flowing beard, twinkling eyes as if full of wisdom, a muffler casually wrapped around his throat. It was a face immediately serene and soothing, with the faint hint of a smile. A face softened by the early morning rays. Instinctively, I too folded my hands, bowed my head. Gracefully did he acknowledge, with a benign smile, a raised hand, a slight nod. It was later on, did I come to know, that he was none other than Founder!
Does it Matter?
In our material life, we often expect to reach the level of perfection. However, this will only lead to unhappiness, as the basic function of the material world is to keep changing. What's there today, might be something else tomorrow. So, in this area, having fixed notions is the wrong approach. But when it comes to others, the words ‘Chalta Hai' should always come into your mind. Whether they speak with love, anger, or hate, you should tell yourself, Chalta Hai, i.e., it does not matter.
Endless Desires
Life is full of wishes and desires. When we are young, we want results – we want to win medals, accolades and be the best in studies, etc. We want to have the latest toys or gadgets with the best model of smartphones with 128 GB memory and all the apps and filters to look the best.
What's Amiss?
As we have been constantly evolving in the present situation, science and technology are arming us more strongly to combat and up guard ourselves. We are more protected and sanitized than ever before. However, there is no idea of how much are we sensitized with newfound wisdom. In this so-called new normal, every area, be it education, transport, travel, etc. has come up with the gadgets and strategies best suited to them and to their profits. This is where the most intriguing question arises, is there anyone who is genuinely worried about the outcome in the end?
